Our Story

Gold Coin Candles was founded in 2021, in the midst of COVID-19. While sorting through old belongings to donate, founder Megan Ball stumbled upon something unexpected. Tucked among high school notes and costume jewelry was a pendant coin set in a necklace bezel. There was something about it that stood out.

After a few eBay and Google searches, Megan discovered the discarded coin held real value. Using the proceeds from its sale, she took a leap and started Gold Coin Candles. With a small wax melter and big ideas, the first pours began.

From the start, the vision was to create clean-burning candles with a more masculine scent profile. As the brand grew, so did the product line, expanding into body sprays, shaving cream, and detergent.

Today, Gold Coin continues to evolve but the focus remains the same: craft high-performing products with the cleanest possible ingredients. Through constant testing and refinement, the line continues to grow while staying rooted in its signature masculine scent palette.
